Air Berlin – Zurich – 2009

On 3 August 2009, an Air Berlin plane, performing flight from Antalya (Turkey) to Zurich (Switzerland), had to turn back to Antalya for emergency landind. After a bird strike, one of the engines caught fire.

Easyjet – Zurich – 2009

On 26 August 2009, an Easyjet plane going to Zurich had to return to Luton airport after the crew reported smell of smoke on board. A replacement plane reached Zurich with a 3 hours delay.

Air Berlin – Zurich – 2009

On 2 August 2009, a flight of Air Berlin had to make an emergency landing in Turkey. The Boeing 757-200 flight for Zurich took off from the resort town of Antalia around 1 pm with 206 passengers on board. Six minutes later the pilots requested an emergency landing over a problem with one of the engines. No one has been injured in the accident, and the passengers are going to fly to Zurich with another plane.
