easyJet – Liverpool – 2011
Emergency services rushed to John Lennon Airport on June 11th, 2011, after an Easyjet flight was forced to make an emergency landing.
The Belfast bound A319 Airbus, the workhorse of the Easyjet fleet, took off at 6.52am but suffered technical problems just 18 minutes into the flight.

Ryanair – Liverpool – 2011
On the 14th of May 2011, a Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EBC performing flight FR-449 from Liverpool,EN (UK) to Dublin (Ireland), was enroute when a passenger was hit by a bottle thrown through the cabin by another male passenger (22). The crew continued to Dublin for a safe landing, where police arrested the unruly passenger. No injuries occurred.

Ryanair – Liverpool – 2010
On 4 January 2010, a Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EFW performing flight FR-4021 from Liverpool to Agadir with 116 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing through FL170 out of Liverpool, when the crew reported a fire indicator had triggered and decided to return to Liverpool Airport. The airplane landed safely on runway 27 about 25 minutes after departure, the airplane was evacuated via slides.
Easyjet – Liverpool – 2007
On 6 February 2007, an Easyjet plane from Barcelona to Liverpool made a precautionary landing at the airport because of a possible technical problem. None of the 78 passengers and crew on the flight was injured and the passengers were expected to continue their journey on a different plane.
Flybe – Liverpool – 2005
On 30 August 2005, a Flybe plane going to Liverpool had to turn back and make an emergency landing due to engine problems.
Easyjet – Liverpool – 2003
On 28 January 2003, an Easyjet plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to a mid-air instrument failure. The aircraft – a Boeing 737, carrying 47 passengers from Belfast to Liverpool – reported a malfunction on its altimeters. The pilot of the flight reportedly held the aircraft at its current altitude and the problem rectified itself.
As a precautionary measure, the pilot continued following emergency procedures and the aircraft landed safely at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
