Jet2 – Budapest – 2012
On March 22nd, 2012, a jet2.com Boeing 737-300, registration G-CELI performing flight LS-897 from Manchester,EN (UK) to Budapest (Hungary) with 127 people on board, was on approach to Budapest when the crew reported a hydraulic leak advising they would leave hydraulic fluid on the runway and requested to be towed off the runway. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Budapest’s runway 13R. Emergency services were requested to check the hot brakes, the passengers disembarked onto the runway and were bussed to the terminal.

Jet2 – Leeds – 2011
On Sunday, October the 2nd, a pilot landed a Jet2 plane at Leeds-Bradford International Airport using only his footbrake after the jet developed a major problem. Fire crews from 11 stations were scrambled to the airport when the aircraft flying from Venice developed a problem with the brake. The plane’s reverse thrusts, used to slow the plane down on landing, were also understood to have failed.
With fire crews waiting on a full-scale emergency, the relieved pilot landed the plane safely but was said to have looked ‘shook up’ afterwards. Firefighters from across Bradford district were called to the airport.
Jet2 – Paris – 2011
On July 23rd, 2011, a jet2.com Boeing 737-300, registration G-CELD performing flight LS-315 from Leeds,EN (UK) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 128 passengers and 5 crew, landed on Charles de Gaulle Airport’s runway 27R and touched down with a speed of 129 knots above ground. The crew immediately felt excessive vibrations upon main gear touch down including vibrations transmitted through the rudder pedals. The aircraft began to veer right reaching about 10 meters right of the center line before the aircraft had slowed through 75 knots at which points the vibrations ceased and the aircraft returned to the center line. The aircraft vacated the runway via taxiway Z3 and stopped, the aircraft was towed to the gate.

Jet2 – Taba (Egypt) – 2009
On 2 march 2009, a Jet2 plane coming from Manchester and going to Taba experienced a sudden depressurization while enroute overhead Greece. The aircraft diverted to Athens airport and landed safely. Some passengers complain about ear pain.
Jet2 – Manchester – 2009
On 6 August 2009, a Jet2 plane flyning from Tel Aviv to Manchester, diverted to Budapest (hungary) du to pressurization problems. Passengers reported, that there were some turbulences, then the oxygen masks deployed and the crew initiated an emergency descent.
A replacement plane departed Budapest and is estimated to reach Manchester with a delay of 16.5 hours.

Jet2 – Belfast – 2008
On 5 October 2008, as a Jet2 plane was on the landing roll at Belfast airport, the control tower observed smoke coming from the landing gear. The aircraft was stopped on the runway, a quick assessment of the situation by fire brigades determined no danger and the aircraft taxied to the gate, where passengers disembarked normally.
The airport was briefly closed due to the incident.
Jet2 – Edinburgh and Glasgow – 2008
On 9 September 2008, 2 Jet2 planes had to make unscheduled stops to refuel, causing delays and baggage chaos. These stops were due to high numbers of passengers (about 600 scottish football team supporters) having bought heavy duty free goods.
