Flybe – Glasgow – 2012

On March 29th, 2012, a Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration G-ECOB performing flight BE-331 from Belfast City,NI to Inverness,SC (UK), was enroute over the Irish Sea when the crew reported a loss of cabin pressure, descended the aircraft and diverted to Glasgow,SC for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

Jet2 – Edinburgh and Glasgow – 2008

On 9 September 2008, 2 Jet2 planes had to make unscheduled stops to refuel, causing delays and baggage chaos. These stops were due to high numbers of passengers (about 600 scottish football team supporters) having bought heavy duty free goods.

EasyJet – Glasgow – 2009

On 22 September 2009, an EasyJet flight from Stansted to Glasgow was forced to abandon landing at the Scottish airport after the runway lights suddenly failed. The flight had to circle around as engineers repaired the fault at around 9pm on Monday.

Flybe – Glasgow – 2009

On 17 September 2009, a Flybe flight from Exeter to Glasgow was approaching destination when the crew reported smoke in the cabin. Despite this technical problem identified as an electrical problem with the hot water urn, the airplane continued for a safe landing in Glasgow with emergency services on stand by. Indeed, Glasgow airport called a full emergency, the airplane was met by fire services. All 36 passengers disembarked normally.
